Dog of the month for July 2009: Artimus

Artimus is a Golden Labradoodle, (a cross between the the Golden Retriever and the Standard Poodle.)
Artimus, (known as "Arti" for short,) Turns a Year old in September of 09, (yes this is going up in September.) We chose Arti for July's dog of the month because he took and passed his AKC Canine Good Citizenship test during July. We are very proud of his accomplishment. We've known Arti since he was just a little guy, (4 months,) and he has such rock solid temperament that he's a very popular playmate with all the other dogs that come and stay at the ranch. He's great with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and you can see in his eyes that he loves his life.
The Golden Doodle breed is gaining popularity for a good reason. These dogs if socialized early, can be rock solid around other dogs and people. Arti in particular is incredibly smart, but with a mischevious streak. He is a graduate of NOAH's Puppy K class, and I think the world of that program since they continue to turn out very well socialized dogs. Arti has become a bit of an ambassador here at the Ranch. Starbuck is getting too old for the job and is losing interest in the meet and greets, but since Arti is such a loyal Adventure dog, (he's here for daycare 4 days each week,) he's helping new dogs to get comfortable in our environment. We're happy to have Arti and his human companions as part of the Adventure Dog Ranch Family

Arti and Yorgo, sharing a moment of rest, after a long, hard day of Adventure!
There is a video of Yorgo and Arti playing during Yorgo's 1st ever trip to the Ranch, which is up on YouTube and I've also embeded it below for your viewing pleasure. We're very happy to have Both Arti & Yorgo come and play with us at daycare and we're proud to call then each Adventure Dogs of the Month for July & June 2009.
